Torbay Airshow

Last weekend saw the first ever Torbay Airshow, based just ten minutes across the bay in Paignton.

The variety of planes could be seen in Torquay as well as Paignton. So, on the Saturday Julian and I enjoyed a couple of glasses of wine sitting in the baking hot sun outside Visto Lounge which is a ten minute stroll from The 25 and overlooks the sea.

On the Sunday, we had a wander into Paignton on foot. We could have caught a bus or train in but as it was another warm and sunny day we decided to be healthy and walk.

There were lots of vantage points all along the route but we eventually made our way to the other side of Paignton where the harbour is.

Another lovely afternoon was had, and afterwards we watched some of the bands on the stage on the green before heading back home.

If you like airshows, it will no doubt be on again next year so make sure you check beforehand and book up.

Pictured here are the Red Arrows who were able to do a full show. Due to new understandable restrictions on airshows, many things are no longer allowed near civilian populations, however, as our show was out at sea, then the full show is still allowed.

We hope it continues as an event and that the weather is kind again next year.

See you there?
