Cockington Village walk

We produce a leaflet for our guests on local walks. One of our favourites is a circular walk to Cockington village. It's around a mile to Cockington from The 25 Boutique B&B via Chelston village then past St Matthews church and down into the centre. You turn the corner and all of a sudden you are transported back in time to a thatched chocolate box scene.

From the village you're got various options to lengthen your walk. You can have a wander round the various shops and tea rooms in the village or head to the pub, visitor centre or craft centre shops. There's plenty of grounds and a cricket pitch in front of Cockington Court, an interesting church and a woods.

To head back there's a lovely path along a stream. It can get a little muddy if there's been wet weather but it's lovely in the summer.

You can see lots of wild flowers and nature.

When you come back out of the woods you're on the sea front and can head along enjoying the views as you walk back towards Torquay.

You can choose to lengthen the walk by heading into Torquay harbour or head back towards The 25 either past Torquay railway station, through Kings Gardens or via Torre Abbey.

There are lots of wonderful walks on the English Riviera including the South West Coastal Path. Why not enjoy a walk next time you visit us?
