We’re really lucky here at The 25 Boutique B&B – a lovely mile-long walk from us brings you to Cockington Village. You can read my previous blog on A Day Out In Cockington for lots of lovely things to do whilst there. We can also provide directions for a circular walk, bringing you back via woodland alongside a stream and back onto the seafront.
Today I want to talk about chocolates though. When you book via our own website (don’t forget that’s always going to get you the best deal – guaranteed) then you’re offered a selection of items to make your stay with us even more special (you can also view them here). One of the items on the list is adding a box of locally handmade chocolates to your room which come from Cockington Chocolates.
Simon and Tony are not only talented at making delicious bars of chocolates, truffles and other delights, but they can also make sculptures and artwork from chocolate!
They are happy to share their talents and just like my B&B Training Course, passing on my knowledge of the industry, they also run training courses for chocolate truffle making.
On Sunday 4th November 2018, they will be running an exclusive course just for our guests. You can learn all about the skills required and have a go at making different types of truffle - and the best bit is you'll get to take around 40-50 truffles home that you've made! That’s all your Christmas presents sorted! Aprons and all equipment and ingredients are supplied, and of course there will be plenty of chocolate tasting too so don’t fill up too much on Julian’s tasty breakfast. It will start at 10am so you'll need to have stayed with us on the Saturday evening, and will finish by around 1pm so you can choose to drive home that day or stay another night. Parking permits for Cockington Craft Village will also be provided. We have a very special deal for you -
Book a two night stay with us that weekend and you can get a place on the course for just £30 (half price!). A second place would be full price at £60.
Should you only wish to book one night, the course cost is reduced by £10 to £50. If you’re booking one night, please contact us to release a single Saturday night so you can book it. Hurry - places are very limited so please book right away. We will confirm the cost of the course by email once booked and take the money on check out.
Please note - cancellations are non-refundable and alternate dates are only available at full price of £60.
